From 1 July 2026, businesses and organisations sending SMS messages using branded Sender IDs (such as your company name) must ensure those Sender IDs are registered under the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) SMS Sender ID Register. Unregistered Sender IDs may be replaced with "Unverified", which could impact message delivery, customer trust, and engagement.

To help organisations understand the registration process, ACMA has published a detailed user guide covering eligibility, preparation requirements, registration steps, and ongoing management of Sender IDs.

Read the ACMA SMS Sender ID Register User Guide for Businesses and Organisations:

We recommend reviewing the guide and commencing the registration process as soon as possible to avoid any disruption to your SMS communications
