Dialled by hand, and logged by hand.
Safeguard Debt Advisory is a North Sydney firm that helps businesses and individuals reduce ATO debt and recover from financial difficulty. Its team of nine handles small business restructures, Director Penalty Notices, voluntary administrations, liquidations and personal insolvency, and has taken on 350 small business restructure appointments in the last 24 months.
Growth depends on the team calling clients and leads every day. Before NeonNow, staff dialled each number by hand whenever Pipedrive, Safeguard’s CRM, sent a reminder. Then they logged the call and wrote up their notes in Pipedrive, also by hand.
That put a ceiling on how many leads a small team could reach. Safeguard wanted leads tagged and called in bulk, so staff would pick up connected calls the way they pick up inbound ones, instead of dialling and redialling all day.
An auto-dialler that takes its cues from the CRM.
NeonNow went live on 27 July 2026, connecting Amazon Connect to Pipedrive and replacing Safeguard’s phone-based set-up. Staff now call from a web browser, so everyone has a business line without needing a business phone.
Amazon Connect Outbound Campaigns turned Pipedrive into the trigger for an auto-dialler. Staff flag a batch of leads as ready to dial, and the system works through the list, putting each lead through to a staff member the moment they answer.
Contact Lens takes care of the paperwork. Every answered call lands in Pipedrive with an AI-written summary and a sentiment score for both the adviser and the customer.
AI agents built on Amazon Connect also answer inbound calls, and SMS goes out automatically or as part of a campaign, so the whole conversation runs through one place.
More people reached, with the same team.
Safeguard changed how often it calls and lifted its call output without adding staff. In its first month on NeonNow, each staff member reached 34% more unique contacts a day. Over the same month the team called 479 unique leads, up 31% on the month before.
The automated summaries saved more time again. Call logging and note-taking are no longer manual jobs, and Safeguard now sees more of every conversation, including how both the adviser and the customer felt about it.
One month in, a team of nine is making more calls and learning more from each of them.
